#nosmallcreator A movement that has created a huge support network of creators which have shared a wealth of experience and knowledge to creators of all tenure. Something I owe much of my current motivation or inspiration to also. But does this title provide the emotional blanket that some new creators (me) need to move forward with their vision, or proverbial fist bump to those starting out or is the term 'no small creator' a paradox?

Using failure as an advantage

It is not the situation you find yourself in, but how you respond to the situation that is most important. Although paraphrased, this is a known Buddhist proverb and keeping in the theme of today's article I found it very important to share. Almost every creative will find themselves wallowing in self doubt at some point in their career and I'm definitely no different. Only after a matter of weeks into this project I was bogged down with scepticism on whether this would be successful, but what I failed to realize that it doesn't matter. These days it seems as though the priority in creating content it weighting toward recognition and followers rather than the love of the process.

Working with what you've got - Creating on a budget

Ever heard of the phrase “start where you are, use what you have, do what you can”? I read this a long time ago and only recently found that this was actually coined by tennis legend Arthur Ashe. I don’t watch tennis and I’d never heard of this guy either until now, but I do strongly believe in this quote and how important it is to realize your gear can only carry you so far. With that said, I felt it was important to remind my fellow aspiring creators to stop hanging so much weight on the things that don’t matter, after all it’s not the camera that finds the shot, it’s the photographer! Without you that camera is utterly useless.

So you want to call yourself a content creator, but who would even want to view the content you put out there anyway? Are you even good enough at what you do to draw the right crowd to your channel, profile or website? After struggling with a cocktail of anxiety and procrastination I realized, it really doesn't matter.
